Detour for Chester Valley Trail

MALVERN Construction on Route 29 will cause a detour on the Chester Valley Trail starting Monday.

The trail crossing of Route 29 at Matthews Road is set to get new crosswalks, Americans With Disabilities Act-compliant ramps, pavement markings, and signage, according to the Transportation Management Association of Chester County.

The trail will detour between Route 29 and the Foundry Way entrance to the Target and Wegmans stores in Malvern.

The work, part of a Route 202 construction project, is expected to be finished at the end of August. - Justine McDaniel
