Bicyclist critical in N. Philly hit-run

A bicyclist was critically injured when he was struck by a pickup truck in a hit-and-run crash in North Philadelphia.

Police said the 55-year-old cyclist was struck on the 600 block of East Erie Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. Monday.

The truck driver fled, and the vehicle was located abandoned about two blocks away.

Police said Tuesday morning that investigators were still looking for the truck's owner and driver.

The bicyclist remains hospitalized in critical condition.
