The blaze on the 11th floor of Towers at Wyncote Building No. 1 was reported just before noon Saturday and reached three alarms, Montgomery County dispatchers said. Responders started departing the scene before 2 p.m. after the fire was under control, officials said, and the incident was cleared about 3:30 p.m.
Hospital officials said Saturday evening that six patients were released, and that two were still being observed and treated. Some residents were displaced by the blaze, dispatchers said.
