Two killed, four wounded in gun violence across Phila.

Two people were killed and four wounded in shootings across the city that began late Tuesday afternoon and continued into the night, police said.

Gunfire erupted at 5:24 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Redfield Street in West Philadelphia, where a 35-year-old man was shot in the upper left back, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. Police took the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:42 p.m.

At the same scene, a 28-year-old woman was shot once in the left buttock. Medics took her to the same hospital, where she was reported in stable condition.

In East Germantown, a 20-year-old man was shot in the left arm at 5:48 p.m. in the first block of East Seymour Street, Small said. The man was taken by police to Einstein Medical Center and was reported in stable condition.

At 7:32 p.m. in the 2200 block of North 18th Street in North Philadelphia, a 31-year-old man was shot four times in the right leg and hip, Small said. He was taken by private vehicle to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Frankford Avenue in Kensington, a 22-year-old man was shot in the neck and torso, Small said. Police took him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:51 p.m. A gun was found at the scene.

A 21-year-old man at the same location was shot in the head, Small said. The man was also taken by police to Temple, where he was reported to be conscious and was listed in stable condition.

Police reported no arrests in any of the cases.
