Philly police report 3 separate shootings within an hour

Philadelphia police reported three shootings within an hour Wednesday evening. A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the stomach in the 6100 block of Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia shortly before 5 p.m. and taken to Mercy Hospital. He was listed in critical condition. Suspects were arrested and weapons recovered, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot twice in the stomach in the 6100 block of Girard Avenue in West Philadelphia shortly before 5 p.m. and taken to Mercy Hospital. He was listed in critical condition. Suspects were arrested and weapons recovered, police said.

In a second shooting, near the intersection of Boudinot and Cambria Streets in Kensington, a 21-year-old man was shot in his left knee, with another bullet grazing his right thigh. He was stable at Temple University Medical Center. No arrests were reported or weapons found at the scene.

A third shooting took place in the 3900 block of Bennington Street in Juniata Park. A 22-year-old man was shot in his right arm and left leg. He also was taken to Temple, where he was reported in stable condition. No arrests were made in that shooting. - Michael Vitez
