Audubon Road to close for a week

AUDUBON A portion of Audubon Road will be closed all this week while crews add a westbound lane at a deeply congested intersection, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The closure is part of a $16.8 million widening project to improve traffic flow on U.S. 422 and Route 363 (Trooper Road).

The 1.2-mile stretch of Audubon Road will be closed between Route 363 and Pawlings Road from Monday through Friday. Drivers will be detoured to adjacent streets in West Norriton and Lower Providence Townships.

In addition to widening Audubon Road, the project will widen Route 363 and add two access ramps to the U.S. 422-Route 363 interchange.
