Chefs to offer 'Taste of Soul' at Mount Holly event

MOUNT HOLLY Two well-known local chefs will be on hand for Burlington County College's "Taste of Soul" event Sunday at the school's Culinary Arts Center in Mount Holly.

MOUNT HOLLY Two well-known local chefs will be on hand for Burlington County College's "Taste of Soul" event Sunday at the school's Culinary Arts Center in Mount Holly.

Tim Witcher, a culinary educator at the Burlington County Institute of Technology who has appeared on the Food Network television show Rewrapped, will show attendees how to serve BBQ short-rib and quinoa empanadas with spicy watermelon pico de gallo, according to event organizers.

Dawn Frazier, founder of the Burlington catering and event-managing company Leave the Details Too Me, also will be on hand to demonstrate how to make tomato, onion, and asparagus sauté with tilapia.

Guests of the event, which is in honor of Black History Month, can choose from seatings at 1 and 2:30 p.m. Each seating includes hors d'oeuvres, cooking demos, and tastings.
