A Bensalem police officer collapsed and died while running a 5K race Saturday morning in Philadelphia, police said. The man was running near Academy and Torrey roads in Northeast Philadelphia when he was stricken.

The man was running near Academy and Torrey roads in Northeast Philadelphia when he was stricken.
Other police officers were also participating in the race, authorities said, and they stopped to perform CPR on the man before he was taken to Aria-Torresdale hospital.
He was pronounced dead at 11:19 a.m.
