Two Delaware County women were found dead late Friday afternoon inside a Lexus in the city's Port Richmond section, possibly victims of drug overdoses, police said.

The women, ages 38 and 41, were found about 4 p.m. in the front seats of the 2009 Lexus in the parking lot of an AutoZone store in the 2500 block of Aramingo Avenue, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The women were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found empty heroin packets and at least one syringe in the car, Small said. The car was registered to a man in Ridley Township. The 38-year-old woman was from Eddystone and the 41-year-old woman was from Secane. Autopsies were scheduled for both women. - Robert Moran
