Man shot in Downingtown

A Downingtown man was shot Monday in a drug-related incident, the Chester County District Attorney's Office said. The 21-year-old man, who was unidentified by the district attorney, was shot twice in the abdomen at a residence on Farmhouse Road late Monday evening. He is in critical condition, according to a statement.

"I want to reassure the community that the Downingtown Police and the Chester County Detectives are working together around the clock to solve this crime," Downingtown Police Chief James McGowan said in a statement.

District Attorney Thomas Hogan said police were investigating the case and asked anyone with information to contact Chester County Detectives.
