Man in critical condition after being run over by SEPTA bus

A 58-year-old man was in "extremely critical condition" after being struck and run over by a SEPTA bus Saturday afternoon in Port Richmond.

A 58-year-old man was in "extremely critical condition" after being struck and run over by a SEPTA bus Saturday afternoon in Port Richmond.

A witness saw the pedestrian run into the 2300 block of East Allegheny Avenue at 2:52 p.m. where he was struck by the right front of the bus, police said. At least one of the vehicle's wheels ran over the man. The bus sustained damage, including a cracked windshield.

Medics transported the man to Temple University Hospital. Police did not release his name.
