WEST CHESTER As officials make major decisions over the next few years about the five new train stations planned for Chester County, residents can go to the website of State Sen. Andy Dinniman (D., Chester) with questions about timelines, improvements and potential economic opportunities.

Dinniman announced the new feature on his website last week after he met with transportation and community officials for status updates on train stations in Paoli, Exton, Downingtown, Coatesville and Parkesburg. Officials hope the projects will bring business and job growth.

"Our train stations are the front doors to our communities," Dinniman said in a statement.

The new Paoli Intermodal Transportation Center will have better pedestrian and vehicle access and a parking garage.

Chester County officials want to add a bus loop at the Exton station as part of a plan to improve access for bus riders and pedestrians.

Officials in Downingtown and Coatesville hope new train stations will help revitalize their downtown areas. Coatesville's current station will also be renovated.

Parkesburg officials are considering several upgrades to their station, including expanded parking and a ticket office with restrooms.
