1 dead, 2 wounded in Chester shootings

Chester police are investigating two overnight shootings that left one man dead and two 18-year-olds wounded - one critically. Around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, a group of friends were walking home from a store in the vicinity of 22nd and Crozer Streets when thefirst shooting occurred. A man was shot in the back of the head and a woman grazed in the shoulder. The man was in critical condition, according to police.

Around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, a group of friends were walking home from a store in the vicinity of 22nd and Crozer Streets when the first shooting occurred. A man was shot in the back of the head and a woman grazed in the shoulder. The man was in critical condition, according to police.

Less than three hours later, police were called to the 2700 block of West 3rd Street for a report of a 34-year-old man ambushed as he left a local bar. They found the victim who had multiple gunshot wounds lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are not releasing identifications on the victims at this time.
