Montco man pleads guilty in Swiss-cheese flasher case

A Norristown man was sentenced to eight years of reporting probation and inpatient sex-offender treatment after pleading guilty Thursday to exposing himself to four Northeast Philadelphia women and propositioning them for a sex act.

Christopher Pagano, 42, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure and harassment, and Municipal Court Judge James M. DeLeon sentenced him under terms negotiated by Assistant District Attorney Susan Cho and defense lawyer Mark Damian Hauser.

In addition to probation and therapy at Joseph J. Peters Institute in Center City, DeLeon ordered Pagano and his family to stay away from the victims.

DeLeon also restricted for one year Pagano's use of his vehicle for trips to work, church, and medical appointments.

In the incidents, Pagano pulled alongside women while driving. He exposed himself and asked them to take part in a sex act involving a slice of Swiss cheese.

When women rejected his overture, said Cho, Pagano sometimes shadowed them for blocks.

Pagano made no statement before sentencing.

Pagano, married and the father of a 12-year-old girl, was arrested Jan. 16 in cases involving three Northeast women. After publicity about his arrest, a fourth victim came forward in March.
