A Kensington man was charged with murder in connection with a double shooting that left one man dead in the city's Crescentville section in April, police said Wednesday.

Orlando Garcia, 19, of the 1800 block of East Cambria Street, was arrested Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, police said. He is accused of killing Omar Rodriguez, 28, of the 5000 block of F Street.

About 11:45 p.m. on April 9, police were called to F Street and found a 27-year-old man who had been shot several times. The name of that man, who survived, is being withheld. Police then discovered the body of Rodriguez, who had been shot in the head, inside a residence at the location. An arrest warrant was issued May 1 for Garcia, who also is accused of shooting the second victim. - Robert Moran
