Authorities: Passenger assaults SEPTA train operator
A person who attacked a train operator was arrested on the Norristown High Speed Line at Ardmore junction.
AN UNRULY passenger assaulted a train operator on SEPTA's Norristown High Speed Line yesterday afternoon, officials said.
A spokeswoman for the transit organization said that SEPTA could not provide many details on the incident, but that it happened just before 3 p.m. at the Ardmore Junction Station.
It was unclear what sparked the assault, but the spokeswoman said the SEPTA operator suffered minor injuries and the attacker was arrested on the train.
SEPTA referred additional questions to Haverford police, who made the arrest. But they were not available for comment last night.
