Man critically wounded in S. Phila. shooting

A 37-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Thursday night in South Philadelphia, police said. About 8:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Mifflin Street, the victim was shot by an unidentified assailant in the lower back and both hips, police said. Medics took him to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
