THE SUIT CORNER, an iconic urban menswear store at 3rd and Market streets, was gutted by a fast-moving, two-alarm fire yesterday morning.

Firefighters arrived at 9:18 a.m., minutes after the blaze was reported, Philadelphia Deputy Fire Chief Eric Fleming said at the scene. It was brought under control just after 10:30 a.m. One firefighter injured his ankle at the scene, Fleming said, and residents of nearby apartments escaped the building unharmed.

Fleming said investigators were trying to determine what caused the fire, though the store's owner, Gary Ginsberg, said he believed it started with electrical wiring in a window display.
