Too cold to monkey around, so circus cancels animal parade

Cold weather will keep circus animals off the city streets this week. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is scheduled to arrive in Philadelphia by train Tuesday morning. But instead of their traditional parade through the streets, the large circus animals will be taken by truck directly to heated tents outside the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia, said Scott Handfinger, spokesman for the circus' parent company.
