Delco family offers $100,000 reward for missing son

A Newtown Square family has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of Yaron J. Bernstein, who police say disappeared under suspicious circumstances.

Bernstein, 22, was last seen Nov. 13 as he left a friend's apartment in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia.

Bernstein has not contacted family or friends since. His mobile phone was turned off shortly after he disappeared, said Detective John Newell of the Newtown Township Police Department in Delaware County.

"The reward is only going to be given in the presence of my son, found alive and well," said Jeffrey Bernstein, the missing man's father.

Jeffrey Bernstein said that his son, a music-production artist, is involved in electronic dubstep music, enjoys photography, and likes to travel. Yaron Bernstein lives in Pittsburgh, and has been known to frequent Buffalo, N.Y., Miami, and New York City, his father said.

Jeffrey Bernstein said his son left college to start Good Looks New York Inc., described as a "cultural and entertainment collective" that specializes in events planning, promotions, photography, and clothing.

His son recently talked of returning to complete his degree, Jeffrey Bernstein said.

In April, Yaron Bernstein was arrested in Buffalo on drug charges with intent to deliver, according to police.
