Two wounded in separate shootings in Philadelphia

A 26-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting Monday evening in North Philadelphia, police said. About 6:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Sergeant Street, the man was shot in the lower back and right arm, police said. Medics took him to Temple University Hospital.

About 5:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was seriously wounded in a shooting in the city's East Germantown section. The victim, who was shot in the left side of his face in the 6000 block of Norwood Street, was taken by private automobile to Einstein Medical Center. No arrest was reported in either case.
