The fever has broken.
Last night, one ticket, purchased at a Sunoco in Lapeer, Mich., hit all the numbers drawn in Powerball, ending the nation's latest spell of lottomania.
The numbers were: 6, 27, 46, 51 and 56, with a Powerball of 21.
Two tickets from the Philadelphia region came close, each matching the first five numbers to win $1 million. Pennsylvania's only second-tier winner was purchased at Andre Farms on Philadelphia Avenue in Oley, Berks County. New Jersey's was bought at the 7-Eleven at 2 E. Main St. in Marlton, Burlington County.
This week's sales frenzy pushed the annuity jackpot to $337 million, hiked twice from the original $302 million announced after Saturday's drawing.
The cash payout of $223.7 million was the game's biggest ever.
A Nebraska ticket won $2 million for matching the first five numbers while having the Power Play prize-boosting option.
Besides the Pennsylvania and New Jersey tickets, six other tickets won $1 million. Two were sold in Indiana, one each in Virginia, Kentucky, Kansas and New Mexico.
Four numbers plus the Powerball pays a lot less: $10,000, $40,000 with the Power Play.
The jackpot for Saturday's drawing rebooted to $40 million for the annuity, $26.7 million cash.
Friday's Mega Millions drawing is worth $45 million for the annuity, $34 million for the cash, because no one hit all of Tuesday's numbers: 15, 23, 34, 39 and 55, with a Mega Ball of 32.
If not for the Michigan winner, the Powerball jackpot was a sure bet to break the game's record annuity top prize of $365 million, hit by eight Nebraska food-plant workers 2006.

The previous drawing, the Mega Millions jackpot was $356 million, and soared insanely, skyrocketed another $300 million in just three days.
