A fired supervisor for the Pennsylvania Turnpike said Thursday that he may sue the agency over his dismissal.
Samuel Giombolini, 55, of Dickson City, was the turnpike's district manager for District 5 in Northeastern Pennsylvania, overseeing fare-collection operations. He was fired late last month.
Giombolini disputed allegations by turnpike officials that he had skipped work and attended to a personal business during work hours.
"I was terminated unjustly. . . . They accused me of an hourly thing, but I was a salaried employee," he said. "And I don't have a business. My wife has a business, but I'm not involved in it."
Giombolini said he was considering legal action.
Turnpike spokesman Carl DeFebo declined to discuss Giombolini's dismissal, saying it was a personnel matter.
