Sex-for-tix case over, she blogs her lust for Phillies

"Even as a 14-year-old straight-A student, I fantasized about sex and baseball, all intertwined together in dark and wonderful ways, " says Susan Finkelstein in her new blog "Rounding Third Base."

"Even as a 14-year-old straight-A student, I fantasized about sex and baseball, all intertwined together in dark and wonderful ways."

So begins the latest entry on the new "Rounding Third Base" blog by Susan Finkelstein, whose Craigslist request for World Series tickets resulted in losing her job, followed by a suspended sentence for attempting prostitution.

Graphic details came out in court.

New ones are on her blog.

Stop reading now if such material offends.

Arousing her adolescent bathtub fantasies the most was "tall blond pitcher Larry "L.C." Christenson, although I believe most of them eventually got a turn."

She even bats around a kind of gang-rape fantasy with players "smelling like Spray Starch."

Quoting more than "Spray Starch" risks going too far.

Reached by phone this morning, Finkelstein, 44, explained she's driven by her passions for writing and honesty, as well as her fondnesses for baseball and sex.

"I'm seeing where the tide takes me," she said. "I'm not using the writing as a way to get back at anybody, or a way to get back in the limelight."

Perhaps the blog could lead to a published memoir.

Just look at Diablo Cody, whose blog led to Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper and an Oscar for writing Juno, she said.

Another hope is that people finally notice she's artistic and intelligent - a side overlooked in the media frenzy about her Bensalem bust.

"I am not this wacky bimbo, who has been stereotyped as this crazy woman who has nothing to contribute, who is just a pain in the ass," she said.

The West Philadelphia woman denies she ever got near getting sex or tickets from undercover officer Michael Brady, who testified that she spoke of anal sex and threesomes.

They met in a bar after she posted an online ad declaring in October, "DESPERATE BLONDE NEEDS WS TIX."

The refusal to drop the charges - along with unsolicited insults from the public - makes her wonder if people have trouble accepting a "strong and sexual" woman.

Although she dislikes the term swinger, she admits that having other partners is an option in her marriage to Jack LaVoy.

"I have kind of outed myself as having an open relationship," she said. ". . . My husband said something beautiful to me about it: You have such a big soul, I would never be the one to put it in a cage."

She's certainly letting the cage door swing freely open on her blog: http://roundingthirdfinkelstein.blogspot.com.

"I'm not really like other people in a lot of ways," she said. "I have a really strong sense of not hiding."

Such honesty isn't easy, she said.

"It's hard, and I think it does take a lot of courage. To me, it's like being naked down to your skeleton . . . the ultimate nakedness."
