Visiting Duchess Kate covers up nicely in chic coats
Instead of staring at Kate Middleton's maternity bump during her and Prince William's first-ever jaunt to the Big Apple this week, we've been fixated on her coats.

Even in gloomy weather, the outerwear of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge - now five months pregnant with the couple's second child - has been a collection of well-tailored perfection.
Kate arrived Sunday evening in a maroon coat by swank London-based maternity line Séraphine, popular with expectant A-listers from Angelina Jolie to Halle Berry.
The duchess visited a child development center in Harlem Monday wearing a black military-style coat by British label Goat. Paired with opaque tights and booties, the coat looked more like a dress.
That night, in jeans and a bouclé-and-metallic coat - the Bettina, by Tory Burch - Kate met Jay Z and Beyoncé "Queen Bey" Knowles, and attended a Brooklyn Nets game at the Barclays Center. (The next morning, the Tory Burch website was sold out of the Bettina - the "Kate effect" continues.)
And on Tuesday morning, the duchess opted for a pink double-breasted Mulberry jacket to protect her from the elements as she and William visited the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and the Empire State Building.
She finished off her look with a ponytail, opaque black tights, and black heels. So fashionable. So New York. And so perfectly princessy.
