Penn Vet’s Ryan Hospital launches comprehensive cancer care program

Few things are as devastating and scary for pet owners as a cancer diagnosis for their beloved pet.

Pets are an important part of your family. When a pet gets sick with something as unexpected as cancer, it's easy to feel emotionally overwhelmed and unsure of a proper care solution.

Penn Vet's Ryan Hospital is changing the face of cancer medicine for pets with their new Comprehensive Cancer Care program. This new multidisciplinary approach helps them to properly evaluate and treat all of their effected patients. This groundbreaking program promises to individually tailor solutions that will result in better care and service.

Ryan Hospital has a team of board-certified specialists from their medical, surgical, and radiation oncology teams that have come together to offer effected families with their most specialized approaches. "The expertise has always been here. But this new team-based approach ensures that your pet's every need is met as soon as you walk in the door," said Bo Connell, Executive Director of Penn Vet's Ryan Hospital.

This new service is now available and you can make an appointment by calling Penn Vet's Comprehensive Cancer Care team at 215-746-8387 or by visiting www.vet.upenn.edu.
