Monday's Child: Bianca, 8, dreams of basketball career
Bianca is a beautiful and outgoing 10-year-old. Like most girls her age, she enjoys spending time with her friends, and when they get together, their destination is frequently the mall, Bianca's favorite place.
Bianca is a beautiful and outgoing 10-year-old. Like most girls her age, she enjoys spending time with her friends, and when they get together, their destination is frequently the mall, Bianca's favorite place.
Bianca loves basketball and dreams of playing for a WNBA team when she grows up.
She gets along well with her peers and adults. Although she can be somewhat reserved when meeting new people, conversation involving basketball soon puts her at ease. She enjoys watching television - her idea of a perfect day would be to watch television all day and not have any chores to do.
Now in fifth grade, she likes everything about school. She regularly earns A's and B's. Math and social studies are her favorite subjects.
Along with her plans for the future, Bianca has a more immediate goal - to be adopted. She needs a loving, patient family, preferably one she can watch television with. It would be great if they also share her love of basketball. Bianca currently lives in the same foster home as her 8-year-old sister, Cianni (to be profiled next week), and it is very important that they remain together.
