How far should she go for romance?

My nephew wants me to find somebody close to home instead of going out with someone that lives long distance.

Q: I would like to tell both of you that my nephew wants me to find somebody close to home instead of going out with someone that lives long distance.

What should I do?

Mia: Closer is always better. But if you're not all that serious, why limit yourself? Date your long-distance friend when you can, but date locally as well.

Steve: Date locally, but look globally.

Q: I accidentally texted a comment about my friend "Lisa" to her instead of to the friend I was texting with.

I tried apologizing. I even sent a big bouquet of flowers, but Lisa won't let it go. She recently emailed me and said she didn't want to be friends any more.

I feel awful about it. I know what I did was wrong, but I didn't think it would bust up our friendship.

Mia: Rookie mistake. But nobody's perfect.

You've apologized and there's nothing more that you can do. If she wants to be mad, let her. Make new friends and forget about her.

Steve: Well, at least it didn't happen with your boyfriend. Always double check the recipient before you hit send.
