‘SideShow': Brad Pitt's mom gives good mail; Kristin Chenoweth KO'd in ‘Good Wife'; Life after Clooney

Brad Pitt's soon-to-be father-in-law, Jon Voight, 73, really digs the politics of Brad's mom, Jane Pitt. She's a conservative — very much unlike her son, who once told the media he wouldn't marry Voight's daughter, Angelina Jolie, until same-sex marriage was legal.

Angie's dad, also a conservative, says he applauds Jane's courage for speaking up against gay marriage. "Good for her!" Voight tells FOX411's Pop Tarts column in support of Jane, who has been inundated with hate mail since she wrote a letter to her local newspaper denouncing President Obama, whom she characterized as "a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage."

The letter endorses Mitt Romney for president.

Kristin Chenoweth hospitalized

Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth, 43, was treated at a New York hospital for head injuries Wednesday after she had an accident on the set of CBS's The Good Wife. TMZ quotes a hospital source who says K-Chen was being treated for "minor injuries."

A witness tells TMZ that Kristin was "knocked out cold" after getting hit "square in the head" with an unspecified piece of lighting equipment. She hit her head again on the cement floor. "I thought she was dead at first," the witness adds (for dramatic effect?).

Gabor's husband, daughter settle

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband of 25 years, Frederic von Anhalt, has been granted temporary conservatorship of the ailing 95-year-old actress after striking a deal with Gabor's daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, in a Los Angeles court. Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz ruled that von Anhalt will continue to make medical decisions for Gabor, while a bank of attorneys will oversee her finances. Hilton will be allowed to visit Gabor once a week.

Hilton for years has accused her stepfather of mishandling her mom's money. She told reporters Wednesday she went to court "to protect my mother and me."

Gladys Knight to judge talent show

Now that megastars Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears have shown it's not tacky to be a judge on tacky TV talent shows, a true diva's diva has joined the pack. That'd be Gladys Knight, 68, who has been appointed "lead judge" on a new show to premiere this fall on BET's sister cable channel Centric.

Apollo Live, to be shot at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York, will be exec-produced by Jamie Foxx and hosted by Tony Rock.

Life after Clooney? Be a hot dog!

What's a girl to do after she's had George Clooney? Is there life after the Cloon? Sure, if you don't mind acting like a dog. A hot dog at that. Italian actor Elisabetta Canalis, 33, who had the Cloon before he was snatched up WWE style by Stacy Keibler, has shot a PSA for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals showing the dangers of leaving your dog in your car in the summer heat. Canalis acts out what may befall such a dog.

Miley Cyrus gets a Teddy on her arm

Supersweet Disney good girl turned supersweet post-Disney good-girl-acting-like-a-sexed-out-bad-girl Miley Cyrus, 19, has been stocking up on the body art of late. Her latest tattoo shows off her real colors as a good American girl. The tat, on her left forearm, is a lengthy quote from a 1910 speech by President Theodore Roosevelt. For real.

"So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat," reads the tat. As E! News notes, Teddy's speech totally dumps on critics, saying it's "not the critic who counts."

The "Can't Be Tamed" singer follows President Richard Nixon and Nelson Mandela, who also have drawn on the speech.

Barbarella star Jane Fonda may be 74, but it seems she can't talk enough about her sex life. In the latest utterance, the thrice-married Fonda tells Brit tabloid The Sun that her sexuality was reawakened when she met her new lover, Richard Perry, after undergoing knee surgery two years ago. "When I moved in with him I was still using crutches; we haven't been apart since," she says. Perry, 70, fulfilled a deep need: "The only thing I have never known is true intimacy with a man," she says. She does now: "I have never had such a fulfilling sex life."
