Nasty harness crash at Harrah's leaves trampled driver critical

A horrific crash during a harness race at Harrah's Philadelphia in Chester on Sunday has left a driver critically injured, according to media reports.

The crash in race 11 was captured on video about 1:52 seconds into the race.  It shows one horse, which appears to stumble to the ground, as a second horse rams it from behind, causing a driver to flip several feet into the air and onto the track, as a horse comes up behind him. Other horses collided.

The driver that flipped is identified as Anthony Coletta.

"Oh my, oh my," said an announcer calling the race. "We had a collision at the back of the pack at the far turn… we do have loose horses. Four loose horses."

He continued: "We've got Anthony Coletta on the track."

According to 6ABC, Colletta was taken to Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was in  critical condition.

The video, which was posted on YouTube, has since been removed.
