Teen critical after Kensington shooting

A teenager was reported in critical condition Thursday after being wounded multiple times in a shooting in Kensington. Police said the gunfire erupted around 11 a.m. on the 2000 block of East Cambria Street.

A teenager was reported in critical condition Thursday after being wounded multiple times in a shooting in Kensington.

Police said the gunfire erupted around 11 a.m. on the 2000 block of East Cambria Street.

Officers found a 17-year-old male who had been shot in the head and suffering multiple bullet wounds to the torso and they took him by patrol car to Temple University Hospital, police said.

Investigators were trying to sort out the circumstances of the shooting and did not immediately provide information about possible suspects.

Police said the victim was in critical condition.
