Two men were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision early Thanksgiving morning on Interstate 95 near Broad Street, State Police said.

The drivers of the two vehicles that collided about 2:30 a.m. were killed, police said. They were identified as Shelton Mack, 31, of Philadelphia, and Michael Kevin Ingram, 23, of Newark, Del.

Three passengers, all 23-year-old men, were seriously injured and were taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where their conditions were unknown, police said. It was not immediately known which vehicles they were in.

The cause of the crash was still under investigation, but police said they received reports that one of the vehicles had been traveling north in the southbound lanes.

In another accident yesterday, police were called to Tacony and Bridge streets, in Bridesburg, about 6:30 a.m., where two vehicles had collided, causing one to overturn.

No serious injuries were reported, although one person was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale hospital for observation because of a pre-existing medical condition, police said.

There was no word on what caused that crash, cops said.
