Phila. Newspapers hearing postponed

Philadelphia Newspapers L.L.C. and its senior lenders have agreed for the second time to postpone a hearing on financing for the publishing company during bankruptcy, according to a court filing. The hearing was pushed back a week, until March 24. Philadelphia Newspapers, which owns The Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News and Philly.com, said last Thursday that discussions with lenders on a "potential consensual resolution of their disputes" had begun. Neither side has commented beyond that. A hearing is still scheduled for Monday to deal with utility payments and procedural matters.       - Harold Brubaker
