CBS3 hires NBC10’s Doug Kammerer

Meteorologist Doug Kammerer, who left NBC10 after four years, is joining CBS3.

CBS3 announced this afternoon that Kammerer, 32, will go on the air in February, after he sits out a six-month noncompete clause in his former deal at NBC10. His role has not been announced. The station is short a weekend weathercaster since Brooks Tomlin's recent departure.

"I love the fact that I can stay in Philadelphia," said Kammerer, a Washington native who has a wife and baby son.

Kammerer's last NBC10 broadcast was last week after negotiations stalled.
