W. Chester teen's body recovered from Mexico mine

The body of a 16-year-old West Chester boy who fell to his death on Friday was recovered Tuesday night from an abandoned mineshaft in central Mexico, relatives said today.

Taylor Crane, who was about to enter his senior year at West Chester Henderson High School, was playing with some children during a service mission when the accident occurred, his family said.

Taylor's mother, Sue Patterson; father, Christopher Crane; and brother, Colin, 18, had been keeping a vigil at the Cinco Senores mine in Guanajuato state.

Relatives said the family expects to return home within a week; a memorial service has not yet been scheduled.
