Man, 23, is city’s 165th homicide victim this year

Early this morning, a North Philadelphia man became the city's 165th homicide victim of 2007.

A few minutes after midnight, Keith McCoray, 23, was found outside with gunshot wounds to the chest and foot on the 2500 block of North 25th Street, police said.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital, but was pronounced dead at 12:15.

Police had no suspects and knew of no motive this morning.

McCoray lived in the 2500 block of Sergeant Street, near the site of the shooting.
