Patient Satisfaction

As we reported last week, patient satisfaction scores for hospitals are not accepted by everyone, but they are growing in importance. Twenty-nine local hospitals scored a 3 or better on 5-star satisfaction ratings gathered by the U.S. Center for Medicare

As we reported last week, patient satisfaction scores for hospitals are not accepted by everyone, but they are growing in importance. Twenty-nine local hospitals scored a 3 or better on 5-star satisfaction ratings gathered by the U.S. Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, from April 2014 through March 2015. The ratings are a composite of patient evaluations of hospital staff communication skills, how well pain is managed, facility cleanliness, and noise level, among other topics. Some hospitals listed have more than one location.

These and other ratings can be found here.
