The deal: "Uncle Dave" Adami ("I grew up 45 seconds from here") opened his homemade ice-cream stand seven years ago at Shady Brook Farm - 180 acres of pick-your-own strawberries, blueberries, peaches and pumpkins that also go into the addictively rich ice cream, along with creamy milk from neighborhood cows.

Where: Uncle Dave's Homemade Ice Cream at Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley, 267-575-9074.

Hours: Noon-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 11:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday.

Inside: Delightful farmers market/country store with ice-cream parlor seating, but the crowds gather outside in the massive seating area with a big, popular children's playground. Live bands on Friday nights.

Prices: Scoop: kids $2.82; regular: $3.77; large: $4.25. Milkshake: $4.71. Hot Fudge Sundae: $4.99. Banana Split: $5.49.

What we ate: Vanilla Beanie (lush and luscious, with tiny flecks of vanilla bean), best-selling Billionaire Chocolate (Uncle Dave said, "We took the normal recipe and put five times more dark chocolate in!"), Strawberry (field-fresh and wonderful) and Cappuccino Flake (like a latte from heaven). Oh, and also Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Swirl (smothered in the farm's fantastic homemade peanut butter).

What we wanted to eat: Peach (coming soon) and Pumpkin (like Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back" - this fall).

What we'll eat on Tuesdays only: 94-cent ice-cream cones and $2.83 root-beer floats, 5 to 9 p.m. all summer.
