Wildwoods Beach Bash and Fireworks

Why should summer campers have all the fun? This end-of-summer tradition includes a bonfire, s'mores, games, grub, DJs, and a fireworks finale (10 p.m.).

6-10 p.m. Friday, beach at Rio Grande Avenue, $10, $5 under age 12, wildwoodsnj.com.

Ocean City Fireworks

O.C. boardwalk merchants — of which the town's mayor, Jay Gillian, is one — sponsor this final opportunity to blow bedtimes and budgets by spending a late night amid Kohr Bros. and Irish Ice and Johnson's Popcorn and Manco's pizza and all the rest.

10 p.m.-midnight Saturday, 6th to 14th Street on the Boardwalk, Ocean City, free, oceancityvacation.com.

Donny & Marie

Smokey Robinson's at the Trop (Friday) and Jerry Seinfeld's at the Borgata (Friday and Saturday). But when everyone's favorite Osmonds bring their Vegas act to A.C. for a night, well, it's time to pull on those purple socks and get back to where you belong: the '70s.

9 p.m. Friday, Caesars, 2100 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City, $85-$429, ticketmaster.com.

Brigantine Elks Bayfest

Three evenings and one big Sunday constitute this lodge-grown festival featuring local cover bands, a raffle, a bouncy house, and a watermelon-eating contest. Sunday highlights include a $3 continental breakfast, followed by the Dorothy H. Mohn Mile Swim, and a homemade fruit-pie competition later that afternoon.

5-9 p.m. Friday, 4-9 p.m. Saturday, 7:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, Brigantine Elks Lodge, 400 W. Shore Dr., Brigantine, pay as you go, 609-266-9826, brigantineelks.com.

Absecon Island Surfing Championship

This 40-something-year-old, all-ages local contest takes place, reasonable conditions permitting, on the north side of the Ventnor Fishing Pier. Regulars know to sign up beforehand and arrive by 7 a.m. to make their heats.

8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday (no-surf date: Sunday), Cambridge Avenue and the beach, Ventnor, $10-$15 to enter, free to watch, abseconislandsurfing.com.

Stone Harbor Sidewalk Sale

All those cute shops along 96th Street aren't going to empty themselves, you know. This annual end-of-season event offers yet another excuse to purchase bathing suits that will surely fit next year.

9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, 96th Street, Stone Harbor, visitavalonnj.com.

Wildwoods Restaurant Week

Just like in Philly,  Wildwoods Restaurant Week begins when business drops off. For six nights, at 25 spots, four-course dinners — app, salad, entrée, dessert — go for $30. On the to-try list: Pacific Grill, Urie's, Duffer's, Dog Tooth, Cattle 'n Clover, and the Boathouse.

Sunday-Friday, and Sept. 1, various locations, wildwoodsnj.com.
