Where to watch the Pope on TV

There's no reason to miss a single minute of Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia on Saturday and Sunday: Local TV stations will provide live, wall-to-wall coverage, and cable news channels CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC will offer rolling coverage throughout the weekend in addition to live special reports.

If you're going to tune in to only a few events, the must-sees are:

Saturday

4:45 p.m.: Pope Francis delivers a speech at Independence Hall on religious freedom and immigration.

7:30 p.m.: Performances from the Festival of Families. Mark Wahlberg hosts, and performers include comedian Jim Gaffigan, Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, and opera superstar Andrea Boccelli.

Sunday

4 p.m.: Pope Francis celebrates Mass at Eakins Oval.

The Pope in Philadelphia. A preview of the pope's visit hosted by Ukee Washington and Jessica Dean. 7 p.m. Thursday.

Live coverage: Saturday from 5 a.m. to midnight on CBS3. Sunday from 5 a.m. to noon on CBS3; and from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the CW.

News roundup: Expanded one-hour news report at 10 p.m. on the CW and 11 p.m. on CBS3 Saturday and Sunday.

6ABC (WPVI-TV)
