Ellen Gray's TV picks: 'Tyrant,' Bradley Cooper's return to 'Wet Hot American Summer' and more

*  UNREAL. 10 tonight, Lifetime.

It doesn't have to be over after Kaitlyn chooses between Shawn and Nick on "The Bachelorette" finale. There's still plenty of action on "Everlasting," the fictional dating show at the center of one of the summer's best dramas. Best of all, no actual bachelors or bachelorettes were harmed (or humiliated) in the making of this one.

*  TYRANT. 10 p.m. Tuesday, FX.

Season 2 has so far been better than Season 1, and there's enough drama in this slightly longer episode to fill half a dozen installments of another show. Jamal (Ashraf Barhom) sees divine judgment for his brother's supposed death as the root of his problems, militarily and personally. His brother Barry (Adam Rayner), of course, is not actually dead, but he's not really enjoying himself. Molly (Jennifer Finnigan), who doesn't know she's not a widow, opens herself up to new possibilities, while their son Sammy (Noah Silver) finally locates his inner Al-Fayeed.

*  UNPLUGGED NATION. 10 tonight, FYI.

Not everyone has what it takes to live off the grid, but for those who fantasize about it, FYI's latest try-another-lifestyle show gives families who are serious about it a four-day trial.

*  SOUTH BEACH. Wednesday, Hulu.

The streaming channel's latest original, a six-part soap, might have been tailor-made for fans of "Empire" and "Power," with a story of murder and the music business that's set in Miami Beach. Ana Villafañe stars as a headstrong pop star whose love life complicates her career.

*  WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER: FIRST DAY OF CAMP. Friday, Netflix.

Amy Poehler and Bradley Cooper are just two of the stars who returned for a six-episode prequel to the 2001 cult favorite. That most are now well into their 40s - and still playing teenagers - is meant to be part of the fun. It's weird, but it all kind of works.
