Ellen Gray's weekend picks: 'Happyish,' 'Wolf Hall' and more

* HAPPYISH. 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Showtime. One possible appetizer for the final few episodes of "Mad Men" is this new comedy about a middle-aged ad man (Steve Coogan, at right in photo below) who's probably happier than Don Draper but far more worried that he isn't. Look for appearances by Kathryn Hahn, Bradley Whitford, Ellen Barkin - and the Keebler Elves as I'm pretty sure you've never seen them.

HAPPYISH.

WOLF HALL. 10 p.m. Sunday, WHYY12.

Anne Boleyn (Claire Foy), now queen of England, presents Henry VIII (Damian Lewis) with a baby girl. You know that's not going to go over well. Mark Rylance, meanwhile, continues his masterful performance as Thomas Cromwell, whose job this week is to get some of the queen's less enthusiastic subjects to swear a loyalty oath.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART. 8 p.m. Saturday, Hallmark Channel.

Can't wait for Netflix's "Full House" update, "Fuller House"? You can find Lori Loughlin, at least, in this period drama set in a coal town on the Canadian frontier where the women all have amazing hair. Season 2 begins Saturday.

BOOMTOWNERS. 9 p.m. Sunday, Smithsonian Channel.

Fracking has wrought huge changes to parts of Montana and North Dakota, where jobs at the Bakken oil field have attracted people from across the U.S. This new docuseries looks at the boom through the eyes of those closest to the action, from an oil worker and part-time preacher to a local woman who claims she can't go into her own yard unarmed.
