"You know, kids don't even know who I am anymore," the Wizards of Waverly Place alum joked in a chat with E! News.
"It made me so sad [because] I was literally doing an interview with this little girl . . . and I was like, 'You know, when I did the show I was on,' and she goes, 'What show?' I was like, 'What's happening? I'm getting old!' "
Gomez plays the mother of a half-human, half-vampire baby named Dennis in Hotel Transylvania 2. Her new LP, Revival, is due Oct. 9.

Comic Amy Schumer, 34, has signed a deal with Gallery Books to publish her memoirs in late 2016.
The yet-to- be-titled tome will "offer personal and observational stories from Schumer that range from the raunchy to the romantic, the heartfelt to the harrowing," the publisher says.
