Good week for The Weeknd

The Weeknd, who performed Sept. 6 at the Made in America festival in Philly, keeps his place atop the Billboard charts with Beauty Behind the Madness, which sold 145,000 units in its second week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Got Your Six, the latest LP from metal band Five Finger Death Punch, debuted at No. 2, with 114,000, while Travis Scott's Rodeo is at No. 2 with 85,000.

He's the 'Apprentice'-inator!

First, there was the Terminator. Then, muscular movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger became California's Govinator. (Then he went back to Terminatoring with his new flick, Terminator Genisys.)

Now the Austrian-born Republican dude has become the Apprentice-inator!

Yep, Schwarzenegger, 68, will take over from GOP White House hopeful Donald Trump as host of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice when the contest show returns for its eighth season in 2016, says NBC, which went on to say lots of nice things about Arnold in a news release.

Gossip petits fours

NBC has canceled Craig Robinson's musical sitcom Mr. Robinson after its freshman season. But the network has renewed stand-up comic Jerrod Carmichael's well-received comedy The Carmichael Show for a second season, Variety says. . . . Details are sketchy, but several crew members working on Tom Cruise's film about Pablo Escobar died when their twin-engine plane crashed Friday into a mountain near Medellín, Colombia. The pilot, Jimmy Lee Garland, was the only survivor. Cruise, who was not on board, has yet to release a statement. . . . Thousands of documents and recordings from Jerry Lewis' 70-year showbiz career have been given a new home at the Library of Congress. "Knowing that the Library of Congress was interested in acquiring my life's work was one of the biggest thrills of my life," Lewis, 89, said Monday. . . . Rachel McAdams has confirmed she'll costar opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel's Dr. Strange, directed by Scott Derrickson, USA Today reports.
