Sideshow: Ian McKellen says he has to keep on movin' on

Sir Ian McKellen, 76, says he needs to keep working, keep moving, keep busy, keep keepin' on, lest he begin feeling his age.

"Keep working, keep moving, keep exercising, keep thinking, keep enjoying yourself," McKellen, who is playing a 90-year-old Sherlock Holmes in Mr. Holmes, tells Time Out mag.

Whenever he slows down, he says, he remembers his age. "I've been a pensioner for over 10 years. So I have intimations of incapacity," said the X-Men star.

McKellen finds it amusing that he became famous at an age when most people would be wrapping up their careers: "It was surprising, but it's been very enjoyable. I get recognized, but not that often, and it's usually to say thank you. That's nice for any actor."

In the latest, a company called Pocket Gems is poised to release a mobile game based on the Tina Fey-penned film. In the game, you get to be a high school senior and be picked on by (virtual) mean girls.
