Liam Neeson here to talk about Schindler's List

ACTOR LIAM NEESON will be in town tonight to introduce a 20th-anniversary screening of "Schindler's List" at the Prince Music Theater.

Neeson was nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Oskar Schindler, who saved the lives of thousands of Jews during World War II by employing them in his factories. The 1993 film went on to win seven coveted golden bald men, including one for director Steven Spielberg, who spent some of his formative years in South Jersey.

The screening benefits the USC Shoah Foundation, founded by Spielberg after he made "Schindler's List." The org seeks to record the stories of those who have suffered through genocide, to preserve their stories for future generations.

"Top Chef" contestant and former Sexy Single Jennifer Carroll has found some hot-chef eye candy in the form of Billy Riddle, who dons an apron at the Queen Village eatery Ela (627 S. 3rd St.). The couple were spotted strolling around Mount Airy on Tuesday, taking a gander at the stops for the "Street Fare: Sip, Savor, Stroll" event (formerly called Mount Airy Night Market). You, too, can walk in Carroll's footsteps Sept. 19, from 6 to 10:30 p.m., along Germantown Avenue.

Tune in to Fox's "The X Factor" tonight to see Philly resident Denise Weeks, 41, sing her heart out. A post on Weeks' Facebook page vaguely references a woman who loves her music, and considering the amount of exclamation points, I'll surmise that Weeks does all right. "The X Factor" airs tonight at 8.

Pop star and actress Christina Milian will be in Philly tomorrow to sign bottles of Viva Diva Strawberry Moscato Sparkling Wine, which sounds like something I would have drunk when I was in high school, at the Fine Wine & Good Spirits Premium Collection Store (180 W. Girard Ave.) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. You have to buy the bottles, which will run you $12.99, first to get the Christina Hancock.

Comedy troupe the Impractical Jokers, the stars of TruTV's eponymous hidden-camera show, hit the Keswick Theatre on Friday. Fun fact: Member Joe Gatto lived in Manayunk while working as a consultant for Wyeth-Ayerst pharmaceuticals in the late '90s. He also once kayaked from New York to Philly, a full 90 miles.

* Darryl "Chocolate Thunder" Dawkins took rookie Sixer Nerlens Noel out for a cheesesteak at Geno's Steaks (1219 S. 9th St.) yesterday. They both are whiz wit' men, although Dawkins prefers his onions raw, while Noel is a fried kinda guy. Speaking of Geno's, the steak spot recently raised moola for the Philly-based American Association for Cancer Research. Their 50-cent cheesesteak promotion netted $527, while owner Geno Vento donated an additional $15,000.

* Sixer Evan Turner turned up at NoLibs sneakerhead haven Sole Control (Piazza at Schmidts, 1050 N. Hancock St.) and spent a boatload, leaving the store with an SUV worth of shoes. I hear that Turner was super nice to the staff and knows his sneaker stuff.

* Davio's (111 S. 17th St.) saw two celebs this week. Former Phil (and current sportscaster) Gary Matthews dined on chicken livers and branzino. WPHT and former Bill Clinton press secretary Dick Morris chose the lobster roll and spring sampler. Good choices, boys.

* Actor Chazz Palminteri ("The Usual Suspects"), who performs his play "A Bronx Tale" Sept. 19-21 at the Prince Music Theater, went for a late dinner Tuesday at Modo Mio (161 W. Girard Ave.). Palminteri dined with old pal Jerry Blavat (who I hear picked up the check) and Cuba Libre owners Larry Cohen and Barry Gutin, who had come from the National Constitution Center's Liberty Medal gala for Hillary Clinton. Their company, GuestCounts Hospitality, caters the NCC.
