Kim Kardashian was as shocked as the fans.

She recovered. "It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby," Kim posted on her website. "We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us." Her sis Kourtney was joyous. "Another angel to welcome to our family. Overwhelmed with excitement!" she tweeted.

Tom Cruise's new gal flees media

Tom Cruise's new galpal is Cynthia Jorge of Queens, N.Y. At 26, she's 8 years younger than Tom's ex-, Katie Holmes - and 24 years younger than The CruiseMan himself. But Cynth has been hit so hard by the media frenzy surrounding her A-list hookup that she's gone into hiding at her mum's house, the New York Daily News reports.

Jorge, who manages Manhattan eatery Beauty & Essex, made In Touch mag's cover after she and Tom were seen doing a Dirty Dancing version of the salsa at Le Baron nightclub. "He was mesmerized by Cynthia," Anonymous Source told the mag. The world has been stunned by the implication: His Cruiseness could be moved by a mere nothing of a civilian.

But is Cynth partly to blame for the media circus?

Jorge reportedly was proactive: She got Cruise's attention when she slipped him her business card at her restaurant.

Unkind gossipers also say she was the person who leaked news of the epochal salsa dance to the tabloids. Yet the New York Daily News says Cynth has sworn to her pals she wasn't the leak.

"She is freaked out, just so freaked out right now. She wasn't looking for all this attention," Unnamed Cynthia Pal tells the News. All the attention, Pal says, has "completely ruined her chances of hearing from Tom again."

Cynthia is not entirely innocent of celeb love. She was with American Pie's Seann William Scott for a spell.

Will Tom call her again?
