Sideshow: 'At the limit of chubbiness'

Celebs are lining up to confess their eating disorders (see Lady Gaga, below).

Not Salma Hayek, who says she's OK gaining a few pounds. "I push it. I'm at the limit of chubbiness at all times. But I'm happy at all times," she tells More mag. "Everybody has a weakness. Mine is food." Hayek, 46, says she can always lose the weight. How does she motivate herself to diet? Love, baby, love. "I think if I was not in love, I would probably let myself go faster," says the wife of gazillionaire François-Henri Pinault.

Their love, she says, gave her faith in marriage. "I didn't think [it] worked," she says. "I thought everybody who was married was secretly miserable - that it was something they just put up with for their children." (She and Pinault have a 5-year-old daughter, Valentina.) Hayek says Pinault, who runs the luxury goods firm PPR (it includes Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, and Puma), is "a master of decision-making. . . . If I'm insecure or afraid . . . he'll give me strength and courage."

JWoww is engaged to Roger Mathews, and she's got a massive rock to prove it, a 5-carat ring surrounded by 2.5 carats of pink and white diamonds in a white-gold setting. "It's more than I ever expected," Jenni Farley, 27, tells In Touch. "Roger's not an average-looking guy, he's huge: his personality, his size," 6-foot-4. "So I always said, 'I want my ring like you - big! The bigger the better!' " How terribly moving.

The New York Daily News says Roger proposed months ago, but the couple were asked to keep silent until the great event could be simulated on camera on the stage of J's reality show, Snooki & JWoww.

People teased Lady Gaga when she revealed she had gained a few pounds eating at her dad's restaurant. She has responded by posting a photo of her in her undies on LittleMonsters.com with the caption: "Bulimia and Anorexia since I was 15." Her declaration follows those by Katie Couric and Demi Lovato that they have struggled with eating disorders.

Meanwhile, Gaga's former stylist, Nicola Formichetti, tells Women's Wear Daily he has designed a line of $900 handbags modeled after Her Ladyship's derriere.

The H-wood romance that gave my life meaning, purpose, and general existential spunk is back on! Us Weekly cites an Unnamed Source who says Robert Pattinson has forgiven his love, Kristen Stewart, and has moved back in with her. Things aren't all sweetness and light. He wants to take things slowly. He's "extra-sensitive right now," says Source. "He's insecure."

Madonna says she didn't make a goofy mistake when she discoursed with passion about why she felt President Obama is marvelous. "Now, it's so amazing and incredible to think . . . [w]e have a black Muslim in the White House," Madonna, 54, said at a show Monday in Washington. "It means there is hope in this country."

Obama is not a Muslim. Madge now says in a statement, "I was being ironic on stage." Ah, remember the good old days when she was content to wiggle about onstage in midriff-baring bustiers?!

There's a glimmer of a chance, a shard of possibility, that the world will receive, sometime in the future, more Harry Potter-type tales from the world's sellingest author, J.K. Rowling. "Where Harry's story is concerned, I'm done," Rowling, 47, tells the BBC. But she kept open the possibility of doing stories set in the same world. "If I did have a great idea for something else, I probably would do it."

Country music legend George Strait is only 60, but he's already decided to retire - from touring, at least - a most inconvenient turn of events for many of his fans. "As far as the touring goes, I've decided that I'm not going to tour anymore," Strait told the Tennessean newspaper Wednesday afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Strait said he will spend 2013 and 2014 on the road to say goodbye to concertgoers. He added, however, that this isn't the end. "I'm still going to make records. . . . I'm going to write."

"This record with me . . . I'm really, really sorry," Fiona Apple told concertgoers at her show Monday night at the House of Blues in New Orleans. Apple, 35, was referring to her bust last week in Texas for possession of hashish and marijuana. "All the work we did is being overshadowed by this. . . ."

Former Vice President Al Gore will lead Current TV coverage and analysis of the Wednesday presidential debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney.

TLC has ordered more episodes of its death-of-civilization reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and commissioned a series of holiday specials for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

NBC knows there's so much more talent to be found out there! The network has renewed competition show The Voice, ordering episodes for spring and fall 2013. Celeb heavies Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green will take the spring term off.

Whitney Houston's family has turned to an ancient form of therapy to help in coping with the pop diva's untimely death - reality TV. The Houstons: On Our Own, which will premiere its 14-episode first season Oct. 24 on Lifetime, will feature the trials and tribulations of the Houston clan, including the singer's daughter, Bobbi Kristina, her sister-in-law and manager, Pat Houston, and her mother, Cissy Houston. Pat is the executor of Whitney's estate - cause for bickering on the show?

Nicole Scherzinger insists she did not forsake her beau, Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton, to go gallivanting with Chris Brown as gossipers suggest. A photo of the duo at a nightclub shows them speaking mouth to ear. It was loud there and they weren't kissing, Nicole says. . . . Us Weekly says on-again-off-again couple Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper are on again. . . . "You're so not even on trend, you're ahead of the trend," Harper's Bazaar style expert Laura Brown tells Sesame Street's Elmo in a new video that has her inspecting his wardrobe. . . .
