Roy Kaiser, former chief of Pennsylvania Ballet, lands in Las Vegas

Kaiser led Pennsylvania Ballet for nearly two decades.

Roy Kaiser, former artistic director of Pennsylvania Ballet, has been named artistic director of Nevada Ballet Theatre, the Las Vegas company announced Thursday.

Kaiser led Philadelphia's biggest dance company for nearly two decades, stepping down in 2014 and becoming artistic director emeritus.

In its 46th season, Nevada Ballet Theatre has a roster of 35 dancers and is performing works this season such as George Balanchine's Serenade and Paul Taylor's Company BKaiser, 60, will transition into the post in the next few months, starting full-time in January.
