Soul man The mellifluously monikered Movin' Melvin Brown presents The Ray Charles Experience - Live!, a one-man variety show in which he performs songs by the Genius and his contemporaries Nat King Cole, Sam Cooke, and Jackie Wilson, with some tap-dance and comedy thrown in for good measure. The Neighborhood Fringe show goes on at the Society Hill Playhouse's Red Room Cabaret, 507 S. Eighth St., at 3 p.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 3 p.m. next Sunday. Tickets are $25 to $30. Rising star Nova Scotia teen Molly Thomason brings jangly guitar, a keen pop sense, and winsome, tough-girl vocals to her rocking new album, Columbus Field. Everland Ben Smallen and Amanda Curry's Wendy and Peter, based on the final chapter of J.M. Look at the band Though best known for their ingenious, intricate music videos (driving a car that plucks guitars, splattered by paint in a massive Rube Goldberg setup, running on treadmills) the quartet OK Go is a spot-on pop outfit with a great live show.
